Montessori Makers Group

Prepare.Place.Develop.Build. The full pipeline. Bydesign.

MMG is the only organization in Montessori built to prepare teachers through credentialing, place them in aligned schools, develop them as leaders, and build the organizational infrastructure they work inside. That sequence is intentional.

The Reality

Strong classrooms.
Complex systems.

Montessori schools invest deeply in the quality of classroom life — and that investment shows. But organizational systems often develop reactively, shaped by growth and urgency rather than intentional design. Leadership structures, communication, hiring, planning: these layers rarely receive the same care as the pedagogy.

That's not a failure of leadership. It's a structural gap — and it's addressable.

Alignment is not an aspiration. It is infrastructure.

MMG's approach to alignment is grounded in anti-bias, anti-racist practice and a justice-centered view of what Montessori can and should be. This work is not neutral. It starts from the conviction that peace requires justice, and that schools have a responsibility to reflect that in how they operate, not only in what they say they believe.

The Pipeline

Four connected things. One ecosystem.

No other organization in Montessori links all four. Each piece of MMG was built to reinforce the next.

01

Prepare

MMR trains educators through a full-scope credential with equity at the center and a paid practicum that treats preparation as a profession, not a costly side project.

02

Place

MatchHub connects MMG-prepared candidates to schools built for their philosophy — and gives schools a way to find candidates who were actually prepared in alignment.

03

Develop

The Institute builds leadership capacity in people already doing the work. Seminars, coaching, and formation across the full arc of a Montessori career.

04

Sustain

Advisory and MMAP give schools the systems and organizational design that let good people stay, grow, and lead without burning out.

This is not a collection of services. It is one coherent ecosystem built around what Montessori actually needs: well-prepared people, in aligned schools, supported by structures that hold.

The Work Behind the Work

0 years inside Montessori systems.

“I built Montessori Makers because I saw leaders doing extraordinary work—without the structures to sustain it.”

— Hannah Richardson, Founder

Montessori leader, strategist, and creator with 25 years across independent, public, charter, and justice-centered Montessori communities.

What We Believe

Five things that shape everything we do.

These are not values statements written for a website. They are the principles that determine what we build, who we work with, and how we show up.

01

Montessori works best when the whole organization is aligned — not just the classroom.

02

Strong systems protect people and make excellence sustainable.

03

Adult culture is not separate from child outcomes. It shapes them.

04

Peace requires justice: safety, dignity, belonging, and courage for every child and adult.

05

Montessori is not sustained by ideals alone. It needs structures that let those ideals live.

From the Community

We came in thinking we had a communication problem. We left knowing it was a systems problem — and for the first time, we had a real plan for it.
